DRY AMD

If you or someone in your life suffers from age-related macular degeneration (AMD), then you are already familiar with the frustration and sense of despair that comes from losing one of life’s most precious gifts - vision.   AMD is a chronic, progressive eye disease that affects the central retina or macula. The most common symptoms include central vision distortion, loss of contrast sensitivity, and loss of color vision. Eventually, AMD can cause devastating and irreversible central vision loss that cannot be corrected by eyeglasses, contact lenses or laser surgery. People suffering from AMD will experience difficulty performing simple daily tasks like reading a label in a grocery store or even reading the large print in a newspaper. As a result, these individuals begin to lose their precious independence which can be emotionally devastating after a lifetime of self-sufficiency.

The RHEOvision Treatment Provides New Hope for Dry AMD

Until recently, the standard of care for dry AMD treatment was to follow a specialized vitamin regimen in the hopes of restoring a healthier environment for the retina and slowing down the deterioration of vision. Also, medical research suggested that following a healthier lifestyle, no smoking, proper diet and exercise helped reduce the risk for dry AMD progression as well. Thankfully,  there is now an additional, new treatment for dry AMD. It’s called RHEOVision Treatment or Rheopheresis for dry AMD and it may help to preserve or even improve vision.

If you suffer from dry AMD, then please take a moment to consider this safe and effective new treatment. The first step is to call Veris AMD Centers for more information, or to book your free consultation (call us at 1-866-747-7436 or email us at contact@verisamd.com).
